Mom's Throw - Measuring the Warp

Follow my progress as I weave a throw as a (belated) birthday gift for my mom.

To begin, mathematical formulas are used to determine the length and number of the warp threads based on the finished project width and length - I won't bore you with this part!  Once the length is calculated, this warp is 3-1/2 yards long, a contrast colored follow string is put on the warping board to guide me as I wind the warp.  Here is a close up of the dark green follow string:

More yarn will need to be measured on the warping board until the correct number of ends (272) are ready to go...
